OWOO Wins Best Digital Interactive Campaign at Blue Ocean Film Festival


Two years ago at the Blue Ocean Film Festival in Monterey (aka the Oscars of the ocean world) the One World One Ocean campaign was a mere idea hatched by Greg and Barbara MacGillivray.  The idea was simple – do what they do best. That is, harness the power of great storytelling to inspire a movement to protect and restore the ocean.

 

Flash forward two years to last week’s Blue Ocean Film Festival, where One World One Ocean picked up the award for Best Digital Interactive Campaign. Having the opportunity to take the festival stage to present the campaign’s key milestones over the last 10 months was an honor in and of itself. To take home such an incredible award that validates our work is icing on the cake.

 

We extend our deepest thanks to the Blue Ocean Film Festival staff and advisory board, many of whom have been with us since we started this journey two years ago, for bestowing us with this honor.

 

For us, the award is a reminder that storytelling really can change the world. And guess what…

 

We’re just getting started.
